Edward S.  Campanella-Rodriguez  is  the  President and founder of MBI Group. His vision and hands-on direction has enabled MBI Group to grow from a small interiors company to a midsize general contracting and  construction  management  firm  that  serves many of the leading corporations in the Greater New York metropolitan region.

 

A 34-year construction industry veteran, Mr. Campanella began his work as an apprentice and  rose  through the ranks of companies such as Ryder and Morse Diesel International. He pursued his education at the New York City Technical College where he earned a degree in Building Construction Technology. When Mr. Campanella-Rodriguez graduated in 1984, he sought to change the perception of the construction marketplace, and in 1987, he began his own company; Manhattan Business Interiors, Inc. more commonly known by its trade name, MBI Group.

 

MBI has since grown into one of the most recognized minority owned general contracting and construction management firms in New York City. It’s resume of high-profile clientele includes several distinct clients such as MTA, DASNY, CUNY, Port Authority, Goldman Sachs, Columbia University, TD Bank and Bank of America. MBI consistently executes projects that exceed minority requirements and is an active player in recruiting minority subcontractors and suppliers for its work.
